Day 01: Kolkata - Basanti Port - Sundarbans

Drive from Kolkata to Basanti port by car, passing through the picturesque countryside of Bengal. Start boat launch from Gosaba. A short ride by local rickshaw will take you to the entrance of the Sundarbans forest. Pay a afternoon visit to the forest museum and watch different species residing in the mangrove world of the Sundarbans. Spend evening at leisure. Overnight stay inside the Sundarbans forest lodge.

Day 02: Sundarbans

After breakfast visit the Sundarbans forest and enjoy a full day cruise by boat through the creeks of the dense forest. Visit Pakhiralya, Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower, Netidhopani Watch Tower and also other points of the Sundarbans forest. Enjoy an entertaining evening of special local religious / Kolkata song "Banbibi Pala". Dinner and night halt at forest lodge.

Day 03: Sundarbans - Basanti Port - Kolkata

Early morning visit to the local village Rangabelia related with Tagore society for rural development project. After having lunch, transfer for Kolkata. Overnight Stay at Kolkata.

Day 04: Kolkata - Guwahati

Morning transfer to Airport time to catch flight for Guwahati. On arrival at Guwahati drive to city and check into your hotel room. Overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 05: Guwahati - Paro - Thimphu

Morning will be comparatively free and closer to the time of your flight, you will be transferred to the Airport in time to board your flight for Paro Once you arrive in Paro, you will be received by our representative and guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Thimphu. Upon arrival, proceed for check in at your hotel. Evening stroll around the Market or take rest at the hotel.

Day 06: Thimphu

In the morning we will visit handmade paper mill, School of Arts and crafts where students learn 13 different arts used predominantly in Bhutan. Later visit national library and Simply Bhutan museum. Also experience Archery at the Museum Itself. Later drive pass by memorial chorten built in memory of the 3rd King. Visit Buddha viewpoint, Changangkha Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the valley, Enclosure where national animal, Takin are kept and Zilukha Nunnery. Overnight at the hotel in Thimphu.

Day 07: Thimphu - Paro

After breakfast drive back to Paro. Later in the day after checking into hotel, proceed to visit Ta Dzong, originally built as Watchtower, which now houses National Museum. The extensive collection includes antique thangkha paintings, textiles, weapons and armour, household objects and a rich assortment of natural and historic artifacts. Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, meaning, which has a long and fascinating history. Along the wooden galleries lining the inner courtyard are fine wall paintings illustrating Buddhist lore such as four friends, the old man of long life, the wheel of life, scenes from the life of Milarepa, Mount. Sumeru and other cosmic Mandala. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

Day 08: Paro

After breakfast excursion to Taktshang Monastery. It is one of the most famous of Bhutan’s monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery and hence it is called ‘Tiger’s Nest’. Afternoon drive to Drukgyel Dzong, a ruined fortress where Bhutanese warriors fought Tibetan invaders centuries ago. The snowy dome of sacred Chomolhari, "mountain of goddess'' can be seen in all her glory from the approach road to the Dzong. On the way, visit the 7th century Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the 108 temples built in the Himalayas by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo. The building of this temple marks the introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan. Evening an exploratory walk around Main Street and market area. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

Day 09: Paro

After early breakfast at the hotel, drive to the Airport for flight to your onward destination.
